Nickolas I. Schulenberg was born and raised right here in Nashville, Tennessee. Nick studied political science and psychology at the University of Tennessee, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society.
After obtaining his bachelor’s degree, Nick moved back home to Nashville and attended Belmont College of Law, where he earned the Bruin Scholarship and served as associate editor of Belmont’s Criminal Law Journal. During law school, Nick interned with the Rutherford County District Attorney’s Office and worked for a small criminal defense and domestic law firm in Nashville for more than a year.
Following law school and prior to joining Freeman & Fuson, Nick worked for a highly reputable firm in Wilson County where he assisted in defending those accused of a variety of crimes, ranging from minor misdemeanor offenses to the most severe felonies.
Nick is a member of both the Tennessee Bar Association and the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. When not in court or the office, he enjoys rooting on his beloved Tennessee Volunteers and Titans.
